He's great at writing characters. If this sounds interesting to you, I would check out American Gods. It's a book and a show. Good Omens is also a book and a show Stardust is a book and a movie. Also, if you've seen Coraline, guess who wrote that? Neil Gaiman or if you're looking for a collection of short stories, possibly for a child. Although they're fine for adults too

From there I read Go to Omens, and that was fine. It was funny. It reminded me of Douglas Adams, but a lot of that, I think, was Terry Pratchett. So it went on from there to American Gods. But what really sold me was a N*** boys. I just thought that was such a great mix of light comedy, folklore, mythology, horror and fantasy. Really well done. And the audiobook with Lenny Henry is outstanding
