Is TSLA the ultimate meme stock?
The flip side of the argument that Barry does not really touch upon is that Tesla is just getting started and will end up with an iPhone like dominance of the car industry or even broader transportation industry, what with self driving cars and maybe an ali driven uber killer car network as well. And if you talk to the true believers, it will not just take over the world, but also Mars. Don't forget that a Tesla was the first car to go into space. So which is it?

They've tried to do too many things and then faltered along the way. The fundamental question being asked, what are you and what do you want to do? On one hand, everybody will recommend that diversity is the secret sauce to longevity in terms of spreading your risks and seeing and casting an act wide and seeing one of them can work. And once people have money, they tend to cast the net wide
But I think there are companies that need to be valid for more than just a simple kind of thing of capturing the current narrow market that is visible to everybody. But you have to start seeing where they can go beyond and is there even scope, is there a real market beyond what they are trying to kind of currently compete in? And if that's a viable market, if that's a viable thing that they can be the leaders in, then maybe that stratospheric and evaluation is justified

And that really is a big question. If there is something that Tesla can do which will create that kind of network effect, whether it's a charging network or a network of self driving cars or taxis and Uber like system, then there is some sort of way to kind of justify the potential there. But if it's not, if there's going to be another EV car manufacturer, then there is really no, that competitive advantage is really not there in terms of locking in people

But the probability of it sustaining over the ebbs and flows of the market realities remains high at least at this point in time. And that in my view is probably why people are still backing this humongous overpriced evaluation
