But I'm not sure that it's a carbon copy, if you know what I mean. It's not an absolute replica. So it's funny that this became a huge lawsuit, but I guess there obviously is grounds for people to maybe put the two together. But yeah, the song is Shape of you and it does sound like a copy, but not entirely so

The way I look at it is take any popular song, given that there is so much music out there right now, so many different artists who have created so many different songs and over such a long period of time as well, that it should not be very hard to find something that sounds similar

Thank you so much for bringing this topic about copyrighting music. I think it's very interesting how a lot of new artists who are quotation popping out quotation a lot now in society, especially in the music industry, are just making sort of similar music and little parts of original songs, like a lot. There's a song called Cry for you by September, and there's a new singer, Charlie XCX, with a song called Back for you
