Do you get enough sleep? A toolkit from Huberman Lab

article image placeholderToolkit for Sleep
Not simply to get some rest, but perhaps the most important thing I have realized is how helpful it is when recovering from any kind of illness or sickness. I had not really done any kind of research on the benefits of sleep, but just noticed myself that if I felt that I'm about to fall sick, like the cold is coming on, the flu is coming on, if I preemptively made sure that I got a lot of sleep

And when I'm sleepy, I'm angry because I'm not producing anything. And when I'm wakeful, I'm happy, because I'm producing things. And Andrew Huberman is able to break that down in a way that becomes actionable and tangible, and it's been something that's really affected the way that I operate. So I appreciate you putting this information out there. Adish and I will definitely be following you some more. So also, thank you again for the follow

While I have not read this particular article, I do know that there are a lot of autoimmune diseases that are a result of bad circadian rhythm. There's been a lot of research done on this on circadian rhythm and how impacting it results in various autoimmune diseases. The cytokine response that the body unleashes causing your autoimmune disease is something that is today thought to be due to a circuit into them. So I can completely believe many of the things that you have mentioned about the article

And I think sleep, I mean, at a certain age, in your late 30s or early 40s, you become acutely aware, or should become acutely aware if you're not already aware that your body is a very important part of your rifle, the most important part of your life, and should not be abused in any way. I just generally think about things and realize that people are so obsessed with politics and sports and religion and culture
