Finally, AirPods you don’t have to worry about falling off

article image placeholderAirPods Max
I have never really managed to enjoy wearing the AirPods, but this is something I can get behind. Looks comfortable, though, a bit overpriced, like like most of Apple products. So I'm not sure if the acoustics and the sound is going to be worth the extra premium, but it sure looks great. What do you guys think

New headphones from #apple. Will they be worth the premium price? https://www.apple.com/airpods-max/

Hey, Arish. So yesterday I saw this guy jogging and he had these over the ear headphones. And I said to Heidi, you know, I really want a nice pair of overtheir headphones, but I also really want air pods. It's kind of a dilemma because I think they're a little expensive. But I'm finally at the point where I sort of want to buy them and then, boom, the news has announced that there are now over the Earth ear pods

My obnoxious I do not know answer!!! 😂

When the message comes, you just tap on it and it gives you this. And I'm like, I don't want a message. I don't want anything. I don't want to be disturbed. I am listening to what I want to be listening. Don't tell me what I want to be listening to

It’s a soft no for me. Lol

I've actually lost a pair of beats by Dre, another Apple product on a city bus, and I was toggling between my AirPods and these beats by Dre. So that would seem like this would be a solution to that problem that I had. But at my job wearing the AirPod Maxes would look ridiculous, and I probably would not be able to wear them in work. So the AirPod pros, on the other hand, are a lot smaller and convenient and they just work for me

@Wuandurful

Okay. Dewuan to each their own. Okay. I mean, you want your AirPod, whatever. See, I don't even know. There's all these things. Like, what now it's pro. It's Max. What else is there? Promax Pro XL. I don't know. You know what? For me, it's like it goes in the year, fits in. Can I hear the sound? I'm not even into these, like, oh, the sound quality

I’m too broke for all of this money talk. 😆

I wish I could say that I'm learning to be cheap, though. It's something I'm learning as I'm getting older. So I find myself shopping at dollar stores for a lot of things I used to buy at Target, so I'm slowly learning. But yeah, no, I won't be getting those over the ear headphones. It's not comfortable for me. Maybe like doing a podcast that'd be comfortable. But then again, wireless for podcasting is not a good idea

@Wuandurful went on another tangent. Retire early!

That could have made a difference. So for me, the other thing is, I read somewhere that it's like, if you want to retire early, you can live a Beggar's life, like, literally live on very little things. And I don't want that either. Like, I want to be happy now. I do want to do things. But on the same token. I don't want to live a lifestyle of, oh, my gosh

But anyways, I listen to music when I work, and that's my way of zooming into my work. And I always use the headsets that came with the iphone, and they kept falling out of my ear. So that was annoying. And then they went ahead and switched the design so that they better fit in your ear. And I thought, wow, that's so awesome. I was happy with that

It all makes sense! Lol @shammi and @bookishpodcast

I take for granted because other earbuds just don't have those capabilities, like simply just being able to listen with one ear. And sometimes you're listening with both ears and you put one in the charging Port or the charging case and you're still listening seamlessly, whereas I hear for other products that you can't really do that as much. And another thing too, is listening to it while away from your phone. I can't tell you how much time that's been fun

Weightless ultra light headsets would be worth a premium. These are not.

I wanted to add something I would be willing to pay some sort of a premium for is how light the headset is. My own use case used to be a preponder maker a couple of years ago, actually, when I was working in a different job, it required a lot of travel and being on the plane all the time. You wanted headphones, which were super comfortable. You could put on for a long flight and not really feel that you had something on and in your headphones

Custom fit and molded?

It fits and all of that for $80. Okay. Now if we were to translate $80 in somehow having my buds. Okay. Not my AirPods, but my ear buds, my Bluetooth headsets. If there's a way they could somehow attach it to my earplugs and maybe, like, have a instead of a plug put in the microphone feature in it. That kind of a thing. The fit is custom to my year. Like, literally, it's molded to my year

I caved...

Well, after listening to this conversation yesterday, I ended up getting a pair of AirPods because I use headphones a lot and I just I guess realized it was time to maybe take this leap and within one day I am so blown away at how much I am using these things, how comfortable they are, how practical they are. I cannot for the life of me see, paying $600 to get a pair of over the ear AirPods ads. The ones that I bought were on sale

My price point... $50 and that’s expensive!!!

I think $50 is expensive for AirPods, but I would rationalize it by saying, but you know what? It's an Apple product. And Apple products are generally more expensive. I mean, that's, like, double the markup. I get it. But, I mean, it's an Apple product. We know you rationalize it's an Apple product. And by rationalizing Apple products, I can rationalize up to $50
