History of Tea in India And it's Journey to Success.

There are many contradictory theories about the origin of India, but according to the most of the researchers in 1662, some medicinal uses of tea leaves was noted, but in 1689 it was first injured as a headache repellent by the citizens of Surup. And it was quite eminent that the importation of the tea leaves were done from China. Finally, in the year 1820, the British East India Company began the production of tea in Asam, a state of India, and made it popular throughout the country

This audio is about the journey of Tea being an integral part of Indians and it's origin in the country.

Hey, Aritra, thank you for that post. I think tea is so interesting for many reasons. I think as a cultural commodity, as an economic resource and especially it's links to the history of India there. I think you can learn a lot about people from just studying the circulation of Tea, I think and I think you've outlined its importance quite accurately. And I think more and more people across the world discover indent. I think it's just going to get more and more popular
