Matthew 26:41
But the verse I want to concentrate on is verse 41 where it says, keep watching, pray so that you will not give into temptation for the Spirit is willing, but the body is weak. And that's Matthew chapter 26, verse 41. And I'm guilty of this, right? I'm guilty of using this scripture sometimes out of context. Yesterday was Pentecostal Sunday, which is what made me think about this. Yesterday was Pentecostal Sunday

I need to rest so that I can be ready for the next time that I need to worship and magnify Him. Because I don't just worship and magnify God like that at church either. I do it at home too. But at church it's different because everybody is there and I'm also helping other people and all that. But yeah, so I just wanted to say that the Spirit I believe that we can use that scripture in that context

And so because the flesh is weak, instead of us trying to build up ourselves up in our most holy faith, we are now trying to cater to the flesh by dumbing down our fasts, by shortening our prayers, by shortening our praise and worship and putting everything on a time schedule and making sure that we move through the service in a timely manner. Because we don't want people to be in church too long. We now have churches that are promoting having 60 and 70 minutes services

We have made our flesh, our God in certain instances where okay, I know I should stay at church, but I'm tired, I'm going to go home now. Even though church may not be over. I know that I need to be at Bible study tonight. But you know what? I don't feel like going. I know I should be fasting with the rest of the church, but I'm hungry this morning

The Spirit wants to connect through God to God through praise and worship, right? But our flesh don't want us to do that because our flesh don't want the Spirit to get strong in us because then we'd be able to overpower the flesh and we'll be able to live a holier life. And so ouch. But thank you because I needed that. I needed that slap on the face like a and that goes along with the verse that says watch as well as pray

I just need to let the Spirit connect because the Spirit knows what we need before we even need it. Because the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost so the Holy Ghost knows what we need before we even need it. So all we got to do is just listen and heed. Listen. You took this thing to a whole nother level, and I am so grateful. I'm so grateful for this app
I'm going to stay. I'm going to pray in congregation. I'm going to church. I want to get in the ministry. I'm going to get a commitment, make sure I go, you know what I mean? And start living that life, you know, that you supposed to be living and wanting to be living, and then you can rely on the promises, but none of it's possible without Jesus. As simple as that

And yes, resentment and anger and frustration and abandonment and rejection and all of those things, those are all things that I have dealt with and am still dealing with. And the devil still tries to rear his head and try to make me believe that some of that stuff is still on me and he tries to tempt me and he tries to test me, but God is faithful. There's nothing that the devil can do to me that God can't handle

I used to relate it to sex. It's like, okay, however, we could relate it to everything. Like you, you was at church doing your ministry and was just kind of worn out, just kind of tired, and you was wanting to go. Your spirit was wanting to go, and your flesh was like, okay, I'm tired. So that's why we have to just pray it up. And that's another reason we have grace and mercy
