Hey, Divya. Thank you for inviting me to this well cast. The question I had was that do you think parents should intervene in their children's relationship matters? Like, this question question popped up in my mind when I saw that some of my friends were hiding the facts about their relationship from their parents. Like, obviously, even we fear that our parents shouldn't come to know I'm out a relationship. Like, we keep these things as secret

Okay, so what I think is that most parents just want their children to have a good life. They don't want their beloved children to be mistreated by others. So that's why they interfere in their children's relationship. Because they don't want their children to have have a broken heart for the rest of his or her life. They don't want their children to cry with someone who wasn't worth their time

Okay, so what I think is that when communicating with parents about relationships, try to agree to disagree. You can decide parents, but you should respect their opinions and express your feelings and thoughts clearly. Make them understand you have considered thoroughly instead of being impulsive. Sometimes, as outsiders, parents can see through weakness of your relationship better. So don't simply turn down their advice to bring their perspective, their advice into your relationship and choose your loved ones wisely. Don't be fooled by impulsiveness
