Have We Lost Our Civility?

article image placeholderPaul Thompson on Twitter
As I was scrolling through Twitter this morning, I see many had posted an all out brawl in the airport in Miami, and someone had posted the question in terms of or made the statement in in terms of our civility. So I guess my question for this swell is have we here in America, lost our civility

We are our each other’s keepers. 🌱🙏❤️

Like, I think the ripple effect of this video is like, wow, we are a civil world. We have civility, and these situations remind us that we're to get active and impact each other positively. Thank you so much for posting this and asking this question

And the reason, of course, this is important, if it's not obvious, is that how do I help leaders or a team of leaders best lead a place to a set of outcomes if we don't understand the people that they're leading and what that tribe of people believe about themselves? And are they reflecting what our macro culture is saying? Like, how divided are they? Is there infighting is the internal narrative us versus them, me versus you?

I really enjoyed that virtual event because he talked a lot about what's going on in the world today and how we should view it and how we can just try to get back to peace in our lives. And I know that's going to be a long road, but, yeah, America, we're focused on the wrong things and then you have crazy things happening. It's all over the place

I really agree with the exposure of the core wounds in a way that we have in terms of values. And when an organization doesn't reflect the values of the people, there needs to be a big rumbling so that people could say, this is not who we are. And I think policies at the very top are really impacted by the groundswell of outcry when something does not connect. Because I think a lot of team building around corporate culture is like, yay, wear the sweatshirt and wear the hat
