I've viewed so many of these different masteries of the craft, and I'm nowhere near that ability. All of these things that we might have or the things maybe the parts of us that want to cheapen what our art is we talked about in another post just we kind of will sell ourselves out for art that doesn't really serve the purpose of our soul. We're just meeting someone else's demand. We're meeting someone else's pleasure
And I almost wonder if it would be cool to kind of have, like, a small group on Swell or, I don't know, just some ideas, I guess my inner critic, I would probably name Chucky. Chucky, if you don't know, the movie Chucky Doll. It's a very scary doll. And I think I've always been scared of Chucky ever since I was a kid. And I think Chucky just represents a lot of fear that I have
She loves to have these heart to hearts with me whenever I try to pursue a creative endeavor. She wants to have a heart to heart and tell me why this thing I'm trying to pursue isn't going to work. Do you know how long it takes to get this thing? Who's going to care if you make this thing? Why are you trying to do this? Are you crazy?

Yo, Jay, I just want to say that I also was terrified of Chucky as a kid. I remember my parents, aunts and I, we used to go to Blockbuster and my older brother used to pick up the little VHS cover because they always had the VHS cover in front of the actual copy of the tape itself. So my brother used to pick up the VHS cover of Chucky and he used to chase me around Blockbuster with that VHS tape because he knew how terrified I was of Chucky

And I don't really know sometimes if it's me that wants to be happy or me making other people happy. But it self regulates in a way my expectation to where I don't have to think about happiness at all. I can just exist and be in the moment
