And then also I had some pretty bad foot pain like the last four or 5 miles or so, and I had to kind of stop and walk just a tiny bit to reset and figure out what was going on there because my biggest fear is to either get sick or injured and then not actually be able to do the race, which is a month and four days from now

What an achievement!!!

You know, I still get moved by how amazing it is to, first of all, just hear your voice tell this story. You know, I'm still fascinated by how if I read this, it just wouldn't be an invitation. It would be something else. And I know this is very, like, focused on, like, the actual environment we're in, which is. Well, but that's my first thought here

I actually did a mile by mile countdown to them that they supported me through because I was so afraid that I was going to want to quit because it just felt like such a big leap to get to the 12 miles and my foot hurt so badly by the end that I definitely felt like I was in a puddle of pain, not to the point where I felt like I was going to get injured, but just being like I am in a 35 year old body
