Toxic Positivity

In such sort of toxic Positivity, which is spewed almost all over the social media platforms today, it's important that we encourage people and ourselves to kind of deal with those emotions first before snapping out of them

But at this time, a teacher should basically ask the child, right, what's happening if everything is fine or not and it happens and I'm with you and stuff like that. But what does my teacher do? She starts blaming the particular child, like you are not taking herself seriously and your future is dark, you cannot do anything in your life and stuff like that. This is what we need to understand. Right

So Aishani, I think you're absolutely right. And I have also thought of this term before this toxic positivity. This, too, came to my mind. And I totally agree with you that there is this one thin line between toxic positivity and what we call as positivity. So I think people who tend to cross this line are usually trying to camouflage or they are trying to stay away from negativity or sadness

But I think people in general need to be more empathetic because at the end of the day, if we don't empathy, how will the world even go on? And yes, think this is very important. This is something really important, what you mentioned. And yeah, thank you. Bye

Yes. First of all, about the influencers. It's kind of even annoying if I can go out there and say it. It is annoying that they kind of keep on saying that, stay positive, be positive, think positive. It might not always be possible for people to think positive. And yes, about the older generation, a lot of them do think that waking up early, not using your phone might helps obcure your depression. And yeah, it's obnoxious

So, yes, I think all of us, to a certain extent, do this ignoring the sadness and things that are gone. But yes, it does kind of come bubbling out of your eyes once 90 and that's it. So, yeah, I totally agree with what you said

So yeah, I always have a very positive perspective in life that you should see the positive side only. Don't try to see the negative side, otherwise you feel negative only. So that's what I think about. But I agreed with what you're trying to say. It's not always the positive side. It's something about the calmness you want to have with yourself. It's about the peace you want to make with yourself
