We don't say we are just wasting our time or even to waste the time. We say it like wasting money, wasting time, spending money. Spending time. Time is precious. It cannot buy you materialistic things probably in just itself. But then the memories it can create for you, the happiness it can create for you, the productiveness you can feel by seeing time as a trade is just amazing
There will be barely a person who has not heard the famous quote time is money. In their life we are always told that time is precious and how we spend it determines our future. When we say time is money, we actually mean that saving your time is is equal to saving money. It is a famous phrase in English that glorifies the importance of time and gives us the idea that once the time is lost it cannot be rebuilt. This is how we justify the concept of time equals money
