So you think you can help? New cbs show sparks controversy

So you think you can help? Well, CBS just recently announced a show featuring judges including Asher and Priyanka Chopra, which will pit six activists in the against each other in securing funding for whatever they're being activists for. And it has not had good reception to say the least. Well, first of all, it's not like discrimination is a competition putting activists against each other

Yeah. Honestly, not a fan of this concept. I feel like the only reason they're trying to quote unquote help is just so that they can get more views and more interest from the public, hence increase their profits. Obviously they're not really here to help because I don't know. Somehow it just degrades all other issues by just having one activist be the winner. And obviously that's just their opinion, right. And I feel like it's really wrong

Like, yeah, that would have been so much better than what they're going for right now. And the entire thing, you know, of it being based on social media presence. And, you know, numbers like that kind of just shows how material is they are as showrunners. It's completely counterintuitive. So yeah, I agree

Oh dear. Not a good idea

And so I think just like portraying them as a bunch of people who try and get as many likes possible on social media just is not going to help show the true side of activism, as well as all of the points have been made around one winner, one cause, and they're not going to have loads of access for every call. So there's only going to be like a few causes. And it says there's just so much wrong with this
