Oscars and Indian Movies

article image placeholderUploaded by @GBX
The kids loved it, the youngsters loved it, the senior citizens loved it, and it cuts across all the masses and classes, if you will. Is it not fair to say that it is the supreme form of art history and therefore acknowledge it, award it if need be? Now, in India we have had a history of submitting poor quality movies for Oscars. The Academy has not selected any of the movies in the preceding 1015 years, I think going back to Lagon

Does it matter if RRR wins an Oscar? #indiancinema,

So I'm less inclined to worry and think and wonder about the Oscar world as a consumer. But I'm sure someone like you in the business, you want answers, you want to know what the standards are. And I think it changes and shifts, but I think we're at a time right now where audience numbers do matter, because that's a feat in itself. That's an artistic feat to get something that's seen by a lot of people
