It. Stand back, said the elephant. I'm going to sneeze. We had this book in our playroom when I was young, younger than five, and what I remember about it was the pictures, because the elephant does sneeze and terrible, terrible things happen. And I was a bit confused and intrigued and horrified by the pictures. And so I don't remember my mother or my dad reading to me a lot or anybody, really, in my family reading to me a lot
This book was my saving. He loved this book and he loved the video. And there were a couple of times he had RSV as a baby, and we watched this half hour video, 45 minutes video over and over and over again, and a couple of others all night long. It was the only thing that would come for him. My other kids loved the book, too, but this one spoke mostly to him. I have a passion for children's books
Hey so love your passion with this. I am excited particularly just to hear all these books that you're referencing because. Or to check them out because I have a new son. And yeah, I'm just realizing from listening to all these responses that how valuable and powerful it is for a parent to read to their kids. So thanks for reassuring and reaffirming that message. I look forward to hearing some more book books recommendations from you in part two
Oh, my God. You totally unearthed a childhood memory for me with the three robbers. I loved that book. I was obsessed with the illustrations. Like, I feel like there's been so influential in my work in a way that I have been carrying out subconsciously. Wow. This is so great. I loved, loved, loved that book. Um, really fantastic. And I loved hearing these stories about you and your kids reading together. That's. That's so lovely
